Urban environments : Sounds of the suburbs

In this work-in-progress, musical trio Trillium explore urban and suburban sonic environments and attempt to accompany the atmosphere without overwhelming it. The project began in March 2026 and hopes to create multiple iterations over the year. A video installation is planned.

1.0 Western Motorway (under Bond St bridge)

NorthWestern Motorway (SH16) just underneath the Bond St bridge. With guest performer Rosie Langabeer. Summer 2026.

1.2 Te Atatū Peninsula (Crepuscular activity)

Te Atatū Peninsula, there are several of these phoenix palms that serve as home to the local fauna. Autumn 2026

1.1 Mt Roskill (under May Rd)

Single performer, two takes bridged together.

End of summer 2026.

1.3 Waitematā West Harbour

As the tide creeps in at sunset, from the end of Te Atatū Pensinsula. June 2026
